Author Description Alex Dally MacFarlane is a writer, editor and historian. When not researching narrative maps in the legendary traditions of Alexander III of Macedon, she writes stories, found in <em>Clarkesworld, Interfictions Online</em> and the anthologies <em>Phantasm Japan, Solaris Rising 3</em> and <em>The Year’s Best Science Fiction & Fantasy: 2014</em>. She is the editor of <em>Aliens: Recent Encounters</em> (2013) and <em>The Mammoth Book of SF Stories by Women</em> (2014). In 2015, she joined Sofia Samatar as co-editor of non-fiction and poetry for <em>Interfictions Online</em>. For Tor.com, she runs the Post-Binary Gender in SF column.
